But you can just call me Monica!
What started as a passion project quickly turned into a vision to help fellow independent pharmacy owners feel less overwhelmed and more confident in their policies and procedures for the clinical services they provide paired with access to coaching services for anything from workflow optimization to medical billing for clinical services and everything in between!
I graduated from Drake University College of Pharmacy in 2021 with my Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. After school, I chose to return home and now have the privilege to carry on in my dad and late mom’s footsteps at our hometown pharmacy in Glenwood, IA. I work alongside my fellow pharmacist and husband, Matt, and our driven, hardworking team.
I started CurateRx, LLC when I noticed a pattern in the independent pharmacy industry-- the perfect storm of pharmacy managers and owners having limited time to commit to P&P writing, declining medication dispensing reimbursement, and increased need for patient care services in the pharmacy setting, especially in rural and underserved areas like mine.
Now, I am proud to develop personalized (or dare I say... curated) P&Ps for independent and small chain pharmacies, medical billing training and guidance, business coaching, and more.

Recognized as the first pharmacy to successfully receive a paid Point of Care Testing (POCT) claim through Iowa Medicaid
2024 Medicap Pharmacy Franchise Clinical Innovation Award Recipient
Creation of the ‘MediClinic by Medicap Pharmacy’ for same day, pharmacist-led non-emergent clinical services, both in person and via telehealth
Utilizing the appointment based model of care paired with Iowa Medicaid Provider recognition to create a reimbursement model for pharmacist provided clinical services to IA Medicaid members
